Another Year Bites the Dust

A new year means resolutions.  Well it does to some, but to those of us in the know…we fully understand that to make a new year’s resolution is folly.  You will not stick to it, and when you do stop you will think that you made a stupid decision and won’t be doing it again.  So what should we do instead?  Don’t set any that’s what.  If you really want to make a change in your life just do it.

The things I want to achieve this year were not decided on in December or New Year’s Eve/Day.  I have been wanting these things for a while so now is as good a time as any to just get on with them.  As ever I want to get fitter.  I have had a setback these last few months having fractured some ribs and tore a ligament in my shoulder…but I’m all better now and very eager to get back to the weights and build some muscle.

I also want to learn another language.  I did start with a GCSE in Italian but it was VERY hard.  I think a simple introductory course makes more sense actually!  During 2011 I became addicted to Groupon and over 12 months I saved about £1500 on activities/training/things for the home.  At Christmas I received 3 vouchers from friends and family which I am really looking forward to trying out:

  • A go-karting session
  • A rock climbing induction and 1 years discounted membership
  • A floatation tank experience

All have now been booked and I’m raring to give them a go (I’ll let you know how they all go within the next couple of months).

Health wise…I will be going back to my EFT tapping for starters.  My chocolate intake has increased significantly lately so it needs addressing.  I begin Thump Boxing again on Monday 16th January so I am sure I will be exhausted, sweaty, aching and full of energy once again; I have set myself some goals in the gym for the next 3 & 6 months which I damn well will achieve and I am looking at improving my diet too and ditching the junk.

So that’s all for now.  I am sure it will be a busy year for all of us and I hope you achieve your goals.
