Techniques

To perform the Alternate dumbell chest press safely, please follow these steps:
  1. Begin by sitting on the bench with dumbells on your knees
  2. Slowly lie back onto the bench taking the dumbells with you onto your chest
  3. Lower dumbells so they are at chest level, either side of your body
  4. Raise the dumbell on one side only so the arm is straight, but avoid locking the elbow
  5. Slowly lower the dumbell back to the starting point
  6. Repeat until you can no longer maintain correct technique
  7. Repeat with the alternate side
