Techniques
To perform the
French press with barbell on fitball
safely, please follow these steps:
Sit on the ball with the bar resting on your thighs
Now slowly walk your feet forwards rolling your body down the ball until your shoulders are resting on the ball
There should now be a straight line running from your shoulders to your knees so dont drop your bum
Your hands should be about shoulder width on the bar
Now raise the bar into the air until your arms are straight but avoid locking your elbows
Keeping the shoulder joint perfectly still, slowly lower the bar towards your head, your elbows should remain pointing to the sky
Slowly raise the bar again whilst keeping your shoulderjoint still
Repeat steps 6 and 7 until you can no longer maintain correct technique

Be sure to keep a straight line through your body and DON'T drop your bum
Keep your upper arm pointing skywards throughout the exercise
If your positioning is correct the bar should come down to your forehead
