Techniques
  1. Wear comfortable shoes, preferably trainers
  2. Try to use your arms when walking, swing them in time with the alternate leg
  3. If walking at night, make sure you wear light refective or fluorescent clothing
  4. Although you can walk on most surfaces, grass will be kinder on your joints than concrete
Tips
  • Walk quicker than your normal walking pace
  • After a while you should be slightly out of breath, if not, speed up
  • Ensure that you walk at a fast enough pace to rasie your heart rate a little
