Wood chop with resistance band

Techniques
  1. Stand with feet hip width apart and your right foot over the resistance band about half way along
  2. Hold one handle of the resistance band with both hands interlocking your fingers
  3. With straight arms, slowly raise your hands in front of you and out to your left side
  4. Keep moving until your hands are just above head height over your left shoulder
  5. Now slowly lower your hands back to the starting position following the same pattern used on the way up
  6. Repeat steps 3 to 5 until you can no longer maintain correct technique
Tips
  • Be sure to keep your arms straight at all times and use your torso to twist your upper body
  • You can make this exercise easier or harder by lengthening or shortening the amount of band you have between your foot and hands
