Muscle Tear

I have been doing a lot of free weights lately trying to pump up my pecs. Right,one day I was lifting 250 and this horrible pain went through my right bicep. I dropped the weight and thank goodness there was no one nearby because it bounced and could have hurt someone. I went to surgery and found I had torn the muscle. Now 4 weeks after the injury, I'm to start physical therapy but I am worried I'm going to tear it apart again. Is this a possiblity?
