Vitamins?

With my diet going well and a few pounds coming off, should I start taking a multi-vitamin just to make sure I've not cut something out of my diet that I need?

I have added a vitamin just in case. I don't mind it and I would rather make sure I am not deficient in something I need. My GP recommended one for me since I have not been eating well although I am still losing weight.

What kind of diet are you on?

What kind of diet are you on? Are you getting food from all of the food groups? I take one because I have been deficient in some of the vitamins I need but if you eat a well balanced diet there should be no need for one.

The consensus now is that as long as you are eating a variety of different foods, you should not need extra vitamins. If you have cut out a particular food though, you may need to replace what you are not getting from that.
