Walking with weights

My best friend is recommending that I go walking with her whilst swinging 2K weights held in my hands. What, if any, benefit will this give me?

Increased cardiovascular health. The wieghts serve 2 purposes. Firstly, they simply add weight so your walking will burn more calories. Secondly, the constant movement of the upper body will cause blood to pump around this area as well as the lower body, improving overall CV performance.
