Drink, Drink, Drink - not only do you need water to prevent thirst, your brain requires it for concentration, your muscles for energy and your hair and skin for beauty! Start early and try to drink 2-3 litres per day.

Staying healthy can be easy if you are prepared to make little adjustments to your lifestyle.

To keep your body and organs in shape, follow our simple guide below:

  • Try to stay active, irrrespective of your age, keep yourself moving, why not try one of our free exercise programme?
  • Drink at least 2 litres of water each day
  • Eat your 5 portions of fruit and veg each day - find out why in our guide to 5 a day
  • Avoid processed foods, try to cook from fresh as much as possible
  • If you are partial to a glass of wine or two, ensure you have at least 3 alcohol-free days a week
  • To maintain a healthy heart, limit the amount of saturated fats you consume
