Tanya Stocken

After careers in the training industry and the NHS, I couldn’t help but feel that I wasn’t doing what I was meant to be doing. However, I still had no idea what it actually was I should be doing instead. Studying a course in Performance Coaching in 2001 gave me the studying bug and I followed this with Clinical Nutrition.

It was at this point I realised that Nutrition was where my passion lay. After studying Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology, I discovered the College of Natural Nutrition. The College’s approach to nutrition and health was exactly what I had been looking for. During my year on the Intensive practitioner course, I knew that I needed to make a change. I handed in my notice at the NHS and started my own practice as a Nutritional Coach. I qualified as a Natural Nutrition practitioner in 2006. Other therapies that I practice are Hopi Ear Candles, Kinesiology and Indian Head Massage. I use Flower Essences and Biochemic Tissue Salts where appropriate.

I am an associate member of the Complementary Medial Association and am fully insured to practice all my therapies. As a member of the CMA I have to undertake continued professional development to ensure that I am up to date with any new developments.

I am a vegetarian and a Virgo! Other than nutrition and alternative therapies, my passions include Kickboxing (training and teaching), music (going to festivals & gigs, and singing in a choir) and my 3 cats!
